HUS

by Inger Lise HANSEN

1998 / 16 mm / coul / sonore / 7 min 30

In Norwegian, the « house » is : « Hus ». This film is an experimental animation shot in real time in the California desert. . We used pixillation and time lapses. The film has been shot with 3 cameras placed in different angles. According to the acceleration produced, we watch frame by frame the house being destroyed. Each take uncovers a hidden layer and expose it to the light. Once the house is totally taken down, it’s rebuildt in another place.
Hus in a film about time and about the process.
