Light Cone and Scratch regularly publish specialized books on experimental cinema during co-produced events.

In November 2000, for the Monter/Sampler cycle that compared cinematic montage with musical sampling, a 160-page catalogue was edited by Jean-Michel Bouhours and yann beauvais, published by Editions du Centre Georges Pompidou and Scratch Projection.

In September 1999, Light Cone published a book devoted to the first fifteen years of Scratch's existence. This 416-page volume, complete with 500 illustrations, traces the association's history by letting the key participants speak for themselves. Artists, programmers, critics and curators were invited to make a contribution through a personal statement, critical essay, or discussion of their work.
