Light Cone and Scratch have published various specialized books on experimental cinema. The shop also proposes books and DVDs by other publishers: The Seashell and the Clergyman by Germaine Dulac, The Angel and Short films by Patrick Bokanowski.

how to watch a video?

Every year, during the "Preview Show" (series of screenings organised annually during which films recently deposited with Light Cone are shown), Light Cone organizes a cycle of public projections. The first screening will be dedicated to the New York filmmaker Warren Sonbert and presented by Jon Gartenberg. Light Cone news suscribe to the RSS Feed SEP 15 [fr] Warren SONBERT (1947-1995) Séances présentées par Jon Gartenberg [fr] Warren Sonbert est un des précurseurs du cinéma expérimental américain. Il commence à faire des films en 1966 et alors qu’il a à peine 20 ans, la cinémathèque de New York lui consacre une rétrospective de ses films. Distribué exclusivement en Europe par Light Cone, de nombreuses institutions lui ont rendu hommage depuis sa mort : le musée Guggenheim (1998), le musée d’art moderne de S SEP 16 [fr] Carte blanche AFEA Archives du Film Expérimental d'Avignon (en présence des fondateurs) [fr] C’est en 1976 que l’aventure de l’AFEA commence. Rose Lowder et Alain-Alcide Sudre constituent alors un fonds papier, sans équivalent en Europe, exclusivement dédié au cinéma expérimental. Parrallèlement, une collection d’environ 170 films aujourd’hui se construit, et ces derniers (parmi d’autres) sont régulièrement montrés à Avignon où la structure s’est établie. Nous rendons aujourd’hui hommage à cet engagement inde& SEP 17 [fr] Soirée Rose LOWDER [fr] De son premier film déposé à Light Cone à ses cinq nouvelles réalisations, Rose Lowder nous propose un voyage dans la multiplicité de ses pratiques cinématographiques. Ce sera ainsi l’occasion de voir ou de re- voir les films de cette grande cinéaste, mais aussi de découvrir ses nouveaux films, notamment la dernière série des Bouquets (« Bouquets 11-20 ») ainsi que « Fleur de sel ».
